Brief review & summary of Module 1
This module provides learners with a foundational understanding of mental health, including basic terminology, the key factors influencing mental well-being (biological, psychological, social and cultural) and the impact of stigma and discrimination.
It introduces common mental health challenges experienced by migrants and refugees, and highlights the importance of early identification and support.
The module aims to build awareness, empathy and basic knowledge to support mental health in migrant and refugee communities.
