These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) set forth the general terms and conditions governing your use of the pharoserasmus.eu website (“Website” or “Service”) and any related online learning materials, courses, or platform features (“Services”).

This Agreement is legally binding between you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) and the PHAROS Consortium, a partnership of organisations implementing the Erasmus+ project “PHAROS,” coordinated by its project partners (“PHAROS Consortium”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). DOREA Educational Institute serves as the primary contact point for administrative matters related to this Website.

By accessing and using the Website and Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Website or Services.

1. Accounts and Membership access certain features, including online courses; you may be required to create a user account.

By creating an account, you agree to:

• provide accurate and complete information during registration,
• maintain the confidentiality of your login details, and
• be fully responsible for all activities under your account.

You must notify us immediately at info@dorea.org if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to:

• monitor and review new accounts,
• suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, harm the platform, or misuse the Services,
• block email or IP addresses to prevent re-registration in cases of serious violations.

The Services on pharoserasmus.eu are offered free of charge under the Erasmus+ Programme.

2. User Content

“Content” includes any data, text, files, or materials you upload, submit, or create while using the Website and Services.

You remain solely responsible for:

• the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your Content,
• ensuring you have rights to submit or upload such Content.

By uploading Content, you grant the PHAROS Consortium a limited, non-exclusive, temporary licence to:

We do not use user-uploaded Content for commercial purposes.

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor or remove Content that:

• violates this Agreement,

You are encouraged to maintain your own backups. We do not guarantee recovery of lost or deleted data.

3. Backups

The PHAROS Consortium is not responsible for the Content stored or uploaded by Users. While occasional system backups may occur for internal security purposes, there is no guarantee that deleted or lost data can be restored.

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or services. These links do not imply:

• endorsement,
• approval,
• or association

unless explicitly stated.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or reliability of external websites. Accessing such links is at your own risk, and you should review the separate terms and policies of any third-party site.

• interruptions, errors, or technical issues affecting your use of the Services.

PHAROS provides free educational content, offered “as is” without warranties of any kind.

Because no payments are made for the Service, the aggregate liability of the PHAROS Consortium shall not exceed one euro (€1).

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the PHAROS Consortium and its partners from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:

• your misuse of the Website or Services,
• your violation of this Agreement,
• your infringement of third-party rights.

9. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

10. Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, where the coordinating partner of the platform is based.

Any disputes related to this Agreement or your use of the Website shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of he Republic of Cyprus.

11. Changes and Amendments

We reserve the right to update or modify this Agreement at any time.

When changes are made, we will:

• update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and
• publish the revised Terms on the Website.

Continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
