Partners meet up in Cyprus
At the end of November 2025, the PHAROS partnership gathered in Limassol, Cyprus, for a three-day training activity hosted by DOREA Educational Institute.
The training focused on testing and improving the PHAROS Training Course for Migrant Support Workers and Adult Educators – a wellbeing-focused programme designed to support professionals working with migrants and refugees in educational, community and support settings.
During the three days, participants explored the course content in practice. They tested activities, exchanged experiences from their own professional contexts and discussed how the programme can be made useful and realistic for those working directly with migrant and refugee communities.
The discussions focused not only on the course content but also on how it can be delivered in a way that feels accessible and relevant. Partners reflected on what works well, what needs adjustment and how to ensure the training supports educators, support workers, volunteers and community professionals in their everyday work.
This training was an important step in the development of the PHAROS Training Course. The feedback gathered in Limassol will now be used to refine the training materials before their publication. Both PHAROS courses will be available on this website, offering practical learning resources connected to wellbeing, mental health education and support for migrant and refugee communities.
Stay tuned – the courses are coming soon!
